FAS has recently been awarded a grant from the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
FAS partnered with SRI International to undertake a strategic planning process for advancing scholarly work in the humanities with the tools, representations, and social interaction enabled by the promising new technology of virtual worlds. The will also support and facilitate this project.

Long out of print, the Federation of American Scientists reissued the 1947 New York Times bestseller and classic anti-nuke text One World or None, which features original essays by Albert Einstein, Robert Oppenheimer, Hans Bethe, Leo Szilard, among other luminaries. One World or None was, and still is, an astonishing little book.
